Hokianga
This route takes you to the remote west coast community of the Hokianga. To comfortably include all of the major places to visit in the Hokianga, this tour requires two days with a night being spent in first-class accommodation on the shores of Hokianga Harbour. However, a good selection of places can be included in a day tour. These include:
- Takahue Saddle 4x4 road
- Kohukohu - Rawene ferry and Clendon House
- Giant sand dunes and Waipoua Kauri Forest
- Wairere Boulders and Mangungu Mission House
Wine trail
Northland is the birthplace of New Zealand wine, with Reverend Samuel Marsden having planted the first vines in Northland in 1819. We can take you to a number of the flourishing vineyards in the Far North to sample and purchase their wines. Some will also provide you with a tour of the winery:
- Karikari Estate on the Karikari Peninsula
- Okahu Estate between Kaitaia and Ahipara
- Marsden Estate at Kerikeri
- Cottle Hill Winery at Kerikeri
- Ake Ake Vineyard at Kerikeri

Doubtless Bay beaches
There are many fine beaches to visit:
- Coopers Beach - unspoiled fine sand backed by Pohutukawa trees.
- Cable Bay - a beautiful pink-coral beach with rock pools and small lagoon.
- Matai Bay with two beautiful crescent shaped sandy beaches.
- Rangiputa - a sheltered fine white sand beach.
- Tokerau Beach - a good beach to gather shellfish and for water sports.
